Super Fantastic Highlanders

Today we had a visit from some of the Highlanders. Here we are with Ash Dixon, Josh Renton and Shaun Treeby. Thank you Highlanders - you have some huge fans in Room 9.

Working with our buddies

Today we worked with our buddies to create Comiclife posters. We took photos and put some writing with them. Here we are working on the computers.

Mad Scientist

Today we went to a show in the hall called 'The Mad World of Science'. We got to see exploding potions, magical floating balls and enormous bubbles.

Learning all about hockey

We have had the coaches from Otago sport come in to teach us some of the skills of hockey.
We have enjoyed learning how to use the hockey stick properly, and how to dribble and trap the ball.

Goal Setting Interviews

Our goal setting interviews are coming up on Wednesday (25th March) and Thursday (26th March). Thank you to all those parents that have returned the notice in regards to an interview time. If you haven't done this, could you please do so as soon as possible.

The meeting is only 10 minutes long and there is a lot to get through in this time. I have sent home a sheet this week that you may like to fill in before coming. This will help to save time on the night, as it will help to identify your child's strengths.

It is important that the children attend these interviews, as they need to be invested in the goals that are being set.

Swimming Time

We have started our sessions at the DNI pool. We will be swimming daily between the 3rd of March until the 12th of March. We need to bring our togs and towel everyday.
We have made wonderful progress due to the coaching that the swimming tutors have been giving us!
